The Waterkant #StartupSH Festival 2017 in Kiel (15th/16th June) represents a highlight on the agenda of the Spice Women’s Entrepreneurship project. The festival „is the first und freshest startup Festival in northern Germany. This unconventional event shakes up a rich mix of startups, companies, creators, intrapreneurs, mentors, investors, and students.“
For the second #Waterkant17 our spice women entrepreneurs presented themselves and their businesses to startups, investors, companies and the interested public on a specific Women’s Entrepreneurship theme area. Our theme area was created and has been brought to life by Fräulein Spitz, Kaas Outdoor Living, Villekula e.V., eco-bridge consulting, Blütenreich-Flensburg, Unverpackt and Eisenschmidt Consulting Crew. The created a diversified bazaar area and reflected the variety, inspirational power and atmosphere of the Spice Women’s Entrepreneurship project.
On Friday 16th June the Women‘s Entrepreneurship theme area opened its doors to a program of entrepreneurship and leadership sessions by our committed business partners and mentors. The short talks and workshops were followed by group discussions and networking.
Marie Delaperrièrre – founder of unverpackt in Kiel and social entrepreneur 2016 – started off the program with her speech „Zero Waste“and involved the interested audience in a lively discussion about her business concept. Our Danish Mentor and professional in international distribution, Karina Kaas Steensen, talked about the essentials, challenges and strategic considerations with regard to international sales and distribution and presented a selection of high quality Scandinavian brands for outdoor living and design. The last two interactive workshops were hold by our two business coaches: Konstanze Bittroff (Bona Dea Coaching, Berlin) about „Goal Setting“ and Inga Wiele (gezeitenraum, Sankt Peter-Ording) about „Design Thinking“.
The Waterkant #StartupSH Festival was a great experience for established companies and the young and creative stratup szene at the German-Sandinavian border region.
